Help Break the Cycle of Domestic Violence
IGYBP are currently in the process of developing "Hope Box" - an emotional literacy/activity resource being developed in conjunction with an early childhood teacher with a degree in psychology.
This resource is being designed to help both the caregiver and children process and cope with the emotional trauma of domestic violence in a more positive way and to minimise the long term negative impact of these emotional scars for themselves and the community in the future.
This resource is aimed for kids aged 5-10 years and will also provide parents/teachers structured guidelines in helping a child work through their trauma.
It is the belief of IGYBP that the combined backpack/hope box for the most desperate at-risk families will provide an essential educational and preventative tool to help break the pattern of domestic violence.
